A small fire which damaged a trailer in Joppa Wednesday night remains under investigation, fire officials said.
The fire was reported just after 7 p.m. by an employee of AAM Property Services in the 1100 block of Oak Avenue in Joppa, according to a release from the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The employee observed smoke and fire coming from the cargo area of a 10-foot metal pull-behind trailer. A total of 10 firefighters from local departments responded and brought the blaze under control in approximately 15 minutes.
Damage to the trailer was estimated at $100, and damages to its contents were estimated at $500. The preliminary cause of the fire remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-836-4844.
