The Highlands School Announces the Retirement of Executive Director Patricia A. Bonney

After 20 years of devotion to The Highlands School, our Executive Director, Patricia A. Bonney, has announced that she will be retiring on July 1, 2015. Her dedication, energy, and love for our students, their families, and our faculty and staff have been and will forever remain an inspiration.

The Highlands School has named Philip Piercy as the new Chief Academic Officer. Mr. Piercy, will be serving the school in a position more commonly referred to as “Principal.” He will be responsible for the daily operation of the academic programs of The Highlands School. Mr. Piercy has begun working closely with Pat Bonney as he transitions into his new Chief Academic Officer duties.

The Highlands School is excited to take this next step in our important journey of outstanding service for our students and their families. As we look forward to the future, we are so grateful for the focused leadership that Pat has given us. Her direction has enabled Highlands to transform the lives of over 1000 determined students, helping them gain the skills and self-confidence they need on their academic journeys. The Highlands School is a progressive, state-of-the-art school for bright children in Kindergarten through 10th grade with dyslexia, attention deficit and language-based learning differences. Today, The Highlands School offers a comprehensive school-year program, a variety of summer programs, the HMS Prep Program for 7th and 8th Graders, a Homeschool Extension Program and tutoring services.
