From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On Sunday, February 1, around 9:20 a.m., Harford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 400 block of Buxton Court in Edgewood for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, Deputies initiated an investigation which led to the arrest of Shawaun Steven Beauford, 37, of Edgewood, Maryland.
Through investigation it was learned that the victim arrived at the Buxton Court location and engaged in an altercation with the suspect. Both suspect and victim are known to each other. During the altercation, the suspect fired at least one shot before fleeing into a residence in the area.
No injuries were reported to Deputies. Deputies quickly located Beauford and arrested him without incident. A search of Beauford’s Buxton Court address led to the recovery of the handgun used in the assault.
Beauford is charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, and handgun related charges. He was transported to the Harford County Detention Center for processing where he is awaiting his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

Uh…I am guessing black guy here?

The article doesn’t specify, so your guess is as good as mine…but does it matter? Are shots fired by a black guy worth more than those from an Asian woman? Would anyone in the background who caught one of the bullets be any less dead? Shots fired in a residential area are a bad thing. It doesn’t matter who is doing the shooting. Leading with the race card, regardless of which side of it you play, seems like a Sharpton move to me.
Mister Mark says
No, really! In Edgewood? That lovely, “planned” neighborhood? I’m shocked!.
HYDESMANN says
Move to Opportunity and social engineering wouldn’t have anything to do with the dangerous downward spiral Edgewood has taken in the last few decades would it? Also the guy couldn’t have had a gun because O’Malley and the Dems restricted them years ago.
Doug says
Hydesmann, While I understand your keen since of crime I must point out that your statement of “Downward Spiral over a Decade” is actually wrong. Take a look at shootings, stabbings and assaults for Harford County and you’ll see the “Downward Spiral”, as you call it, would be systemic on all portions of Harford. I guess its easy though for you to jump on the bandwagon without facts just as countless parents did in California who are now suffering these little red bumps on the face. All because a Hollywood B-lister said “its bad”.
Additionally compare Harford County to Howard, Ann Arundel, and countless others and you’ll see relatively we actually have lower crime rates and a great response by local police and Sheriffs office. But if you’ve just lived here in Harford I could understand the periscope focus. Every town in Harford has good parts and bad, pull up a map and you’ll see exactly where Edgewoods is, and it is unfortunately in no way shape or form representative of Edgewood as a whole and other communities who are watching this “move to opportunity” project prove itself harmful. That I do agree with you on, but don’t take my word for it… get some stats.

I think Bel Air is leading in the violent crime category so far this year!!!!
hadenough says
Correct, crimes committed from individuals from Edgewood, Aberdeen & Havre de Grace. Notice any patterns here? There’s nothing left to rob in those areas so Bel Air is a no brainer for the “no-brainers”.
Wise up and face reality.
