From Friends of Mary Ann Lisanti:
As we begin the new year and I prepare to represent you in Annapolis, I want to take a moment to say thank you for your support and friendship. Please join me in Annapolis as I take the oath of office as part of the 435th legislative session of the Maryland General Assembly. We begin on Wednesday, January 14th at 12:00 Noon. While the House floor and gallery seating has been limited to immediate family due to the large number of new Members, you are welcome to view the proceedings in the Joint Hearing Room, my new office or on the Maryland General Assembly’s website at www.mgaleg.maryland.gov.
The Joint Hearing room is located on the first floor of the Legislative Services Building, 90 State Circle, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. My office is located in the House Office Building, 6 Bladen St., Annapolis, MD 21401, room 217. Parking in the City of Annapolis is difficult however readily available at the Navy/Marine Corps stadium and a shuttle will bring you directly to the State House complex. The stadium is located at 550 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401. If you intend to enter any of the buildings in the legislative complex, including the State House, Legislative Services Building and House Office Building, you must present a photo ID.
There are several open house events that are open to the public through downtown Annapolis including my office, even though we will not be fully moved in yet. A list can be provided by responding to this email.
Thank you for the priveledge of serving you and working to better the lives of all Marylanders.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Lisanti
Delegate-Elect, District 34A
Original Observer says
I’m just thankful that the General Assembly of the People’s Republic of Maryland has only 90 days in which to inflict damage upon the populace. And I’m hoping that Gov. Hogan and the influx of Republican representation in the Assembly will be able to keep the damage to a minimum, despite the fact that the Democrats still control the legislature. We shall see. By the way, Marty, I was reading where suddenly, after laying low since Anthony Brown was thrashed in November, you’re expressing hurt that your lackey was rejected at the polls and there will be no third term for you through your designated puppet. Karma’s a beeyotch, ain’t it? You rejected the populace for eight years; this is what you get. As has been written elsewhere on the web, commanding a bar band is your first best destiny. Anything else — as the last eight years have proven beyond a doubt — is a waste of material. Pity that we had to suffer for — and from — your waste.
