From Harford County government:
The Harford County Department of Emergency Services has launched a new website to assist business owners and proprietors. The website provides businesses with the opportunity to submit emergency contact information directly to the Harford County 911 Center.
The website is part of a two-part process whereby the Department of Emergency Services collects and maintains updated business information and then distributes the data to the Public Safety Dispatch Centers serving Harford County. The dispatch centers include the Aberdeen Police, Bel Air Police, Havre de Grace Police and Maryland State Police.
“The purpose of the new website is to help the business community record and maintain essential contact information with our dispatch centers so we can better serve them in the event of an emergency,” said Director Edward Hopkins. “The website is another tool to help us better serve the interest of business,” Hopkins added.
The business contact website can be found at www.harfordpublicsafety.org and is titled, “Commercial Emergency Contact Form” under the tab “Communications/911. The emergency contact information provided to the Harford County Department of Emergency Services is maintained as secured information and is not shared with the public.
Business owners and others requiring further assistance with the “Commercial Emergency Contact Form”, should contact Ross Coates, Public Safety Manager at 410-638-3409 or by email at rrcoates@harfordpublicsafety.org.
