From the Aberdeen Police Department:
On Thursday, January 8, 2015, at approximately 3:50 PM, officers from the Aberdeen Police Department responded to 31 W. Bel Air Ave (Maryland Division of Parole & Probation) for a report of a wanted person.
Officers arrived, located, and confirmed that Jeremy Mclain, who was inside the Parole and Probation waiting area, was wanted for a parole retake warrant. Mclain rebuffed officer’s verbal commands to submit to arrest without resistance, and a brief struggle ensued. Mclain exited the office waiting area and briefly escaped onto W. Bel Air Ave.
Moments later, members of the Aberdeen Police Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division arrived and took Mclain into custody without further incident.
Mclain was turned over to an agent of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Mclain will be charged with additional criminal offenses as a result of his actions.
