From Harford County Government:
BEL AIR, Md., (Jan. 8, 2015) – The Harford County Commission on Disabilities and Harford Cable Network launched an exciting new TV series on January 1 celebrating the lives of local people with disabilities. The half-hour program titled “abiliTV” airs exclusively on Harford Cable Network, hosted by Rachel Harbin, disabilities coordinator for Harford County government.
“This is the first show of its kind in Harford County and our hope is that it will help address the need for information, support and encouragement in the local disability community,” Ms. Harbin said. “The effort thus far has generated tremendous excitement, and I want to thank the citizens and local groups who jumped in to join us on the first episode. We can’t wait to work with many more people as the series progresses.”
The first half-hour episode will be rebroadcast through the end of March on Mondays at 2:00 p.m., Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. The program is also available on Video on Demand at http://hcn.pegcentral.com. Viewers will see the stories, witness the challenges and celebrate the accomplishments of friends, neighbors and family members with disabilities. Episode one also provides information on local resources, meetings and events for the disability community, including the following:

At Your Service! Learn how puppies are trained and shaped into indispensable guide dogs.
Parent Power! Gain insight into the challenges parents face when their children are first diagnosed with a disability – and where they are going for help.
Workin’ It Out! Meet an employee with disabilities who is proving that dedication, a good work ethic and a positive attitude can create a positive work life.
Future episodes will be produced quarterly and rebroadcast on the same weekly schedule noted above.
