Maryland State Police continue the investigation into a crash on Interstate 95 in Harford County.
The driver involved in the single vehicle collision is identified as Nicholas Gayhardt, 27, of the 1000 block of Devin Road in Silver Spring, MD. He was the sole occupant in the vehicle. He is currently being treated for his injuries at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Shortly before midnight on December 26th, a trooper from the JFK Highway Barrack was completing a traffic stop northbound on Interstate Highway 95 in the area of mile marker 79. While on the traffic stop, a black Saab, operated by Gayhardt, passed his location, failing to move-over for his emergency vehicle, which was stopped on the shoulder with it’s emergency lights activated.
As Gayhardt passed the trooper’s vehicle, the trooper observed his inability to maintain a single lane of travel. He traveled several times from the travel portion of the road onto the right shoulder and into adjacent lanes, weaving erratically. The trooper continued to follow Gayhardt, subsequently activating his lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle. He failed to yield to the emergency vehicle and continued to travel northbound.
After approximately four miles, Gayhardt veered from the roadway onto the left shoulder colliding with the left guardrail. After colliding with the guardrail the vehicle overturned.
Troopers immediately began to render aid to Gayhardt until emergency medical personnel arrived shortly thereafter. Gayhardt was subsequently transported by medevac to Shock Trauma.
Police believe alcohol may have been a contributing circumstance. Maryland State Police Crash Team arrived on scene and are continuing the investigation.
Will there be protests about this incident? The police forced him off the road by chasing him, right? Vigils at the accident site?

There will be NO PROTESTS in Harford County. If there was, your corrupt MSP Barracks up there will go and lock them up! Then the Deputy’s at the Harford Hilton will strip search them! At last, there will be a lawsuit that your disgusting little county will pay for out of the tax payers money that was stolen from proper appropriation and used to pay for damages by the most incompetent and illegal jurisdiction in all of Maryland. What’s so illegal about a protest? Before you answer that question, remember the protesters that were arrested by the MSP right over by Bel Air a few years back. Remember the law suit? What were they doing wrong? Oh yeah, protesting. How soon we all forget……

I escaped New Duestchland approximately 5 years ago. It was either live in a continuous hell of persecution and fear or leave Harford County. The illegal and unconstitutional actions I endured at the hands of what you call the Harford County Sheriff’s Office and I call a county run, state funded terrorist organization, were unbearable. I am watching Little Boy Blue and one day very soon your gonna have to blow my horn! Count on it……
