From Harford County Councilman “Capt’n” Jim McMahan:
THE B & O TRAIN STATION WILL REST WHERE IT IS TODAY ABOUT 30 YARDS FROM ITS ORIGINAL SPOT. The move was necessary because it was too close to the track.
According to Mary Anna at the Historical Society, “Kinsley construction is donating the construction of the new foundation to go underneath of it and they will begin work after the New Year. It was too close to the tracks to restore it on its original site.”
Merry Christmas from me to your family. If you are celebrating this wonderful season in a different way please accept my best wishes for a very Happy Holiday
Thank you for the strong vote in returning me as your councilman for another four years. I appreciate your confidence.
Because the Town of Bel Air lies within my Councilmatic District, I get many calls regarding Town issues. As of the first of the year “Coffee Talk” will take on a different appearance as I will be teaming up with Town Commissioner Susan Burdette in a joint effort to serve you better. We will have both council news and town news and you can find the access numbers to each of us easily.
Please share the Holiday with seniors who may not have family close by. It can be very lonely.
See you in the New Year.
Warm regards to all, Capt’n Jim
Wondering Why says
What a waste of time and money.
A few pictures could have been taken and stored away for history.
What purpose will this building serve now?
How many other worthy projects need to be done in Aberdeen?
Time moves on.
The Money Tree says
If it isn’t costing you any money how is it any of your concern?
BillH says
Oh no, tell me you didn’t really just post that…
Fred Big Dong Dinnus says
It wasn’t a waste of money to those interested in saving a historical significant railroad station.
Where are you coming from to say what is a waste of money and is not?
The biggest waste of money are people buying corner cut cookie cutter homes. You should see how sh!tty they really are.

I still think you should talk about the issues and not this dribble that you write. Now we are going to have another person writing useless information. Oh and It’s Hanaukka and Kwanza. You surly had no problem wishing a Merry Christmas and happily holiday. So I wish you a Happy Holiday and others a Happy Hanukka and Happy Kwanza. Still wondering where you get the name Capt’n Crunch from. Also, your support for Coach and his security plan.
