From Harford Family House:
The Harford Family House today announced it has received a $10,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation which will help families build better financial lives by addressing the critical need for stable and permanent housing. The bank supports access to transitional housing, financial education, and individual case management for homeless families living in Harford County. These basic human services are top priorities because there is significant need in these areas in Harford County and across the country.
“We are grateful to the Bank of America Charitable Foundation for providing this critical funding to support homeless families with children in our community. As the weather turns colder, shelter becomes more of an immediate need. This funding will provide 400 nights of shelter and support to a homeless mother, father or child” says Harford Family House Executive Director/CEO, Joyce Duffy.
Harford Family House will use the $10,000 grant to support the operations of its transitional housing and emergency shelter programs for families with children. The non-profit provides each family it serves with not only a safe, decent apartment, but also the support and resources needed to help the family transition into permanent stable housing.
