A Forest Hill man has been deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial for his alleged April 2013 killing of his two-month-old niece, ahead of court proceedings scheduled to start earlier this week.
Colin Wolf, 20, of Forest Hill, was charged first degree murder and first degree child abuse in connection with the death of the 2-month-old girl on April 18, 2013.
A suppression hearing was held in Harford County Circuit Court on Nov. 12 as scheduled, but the start of a trial in the case was cancelled Monday after Wolf was determined to be not mentally competent to stand trial, according to court records. He was transferred to a state health and mental hygiene, according to the records.

Harford County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested and charged a 19 year old man with the attempted murder of his 2-month old infant niece.
Shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday April 18, 2013, and at the request of paramedics from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 2000 block of Bay Meadows Court in Forest Hill for a report of an injured baby.
Upon arrival deputies found the paramedics treating a two-month old infant female. Deputies spoke to the grandmother, Rebecca Wolf, 52. Wolf reported the infant was her granddaughter and had been left in the care of Colin Christopher Wolf, 19, of the same address. Wolf told police she had left the home at approximately 9:45 p.m. to go visit family. When they left the baby was asleep in her bassinet. When Mrs. Wolf arrived back home at 10:50 p.m., she went to check on the child and found the baby had suffered serious injuries. She immediately called 911.
Paramedics treated the baby at the scene and transported the child to the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. The baby was later transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital where she was initially reported to be in critical condition with life threatening injuries. However, at 10:59 a.m. today (Friday), the baby died.
Immediately upon Rebecca Wolf arriving home, Colin Wolf left the residence. Patrol deputies then searched the area and located Colin Wolf in the 1800 block of Trudeau Court in Forest Hill. Detectives were called and through investigation identified Colin Wolf as the suspect. Preliminary investigation reveals he allegedly struck the child in the face. Colin Wolf was placed under arrest and was initially charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, and child abuse.
He was taken to the Harford County Detention Center where, after being seen by a Harford County District Court Commissioner was ordered held without bail. As a result of the child’s death those charges will be amended and the suspect will be charged with the baby’s murder. He remains incarcerated without bail.

Hard to believe but maybe his mental deficiencies are not that obvious. Maybe they never left the baby with him, after all, she was only two months old. I feel so bad for the poor baby and the poor mother.
I looked this up after seeing a memory video on YouTube the mother of this poor baby is a liar she tried saying that 3 other boys were responsible when I’ve seen quite a few articles saying that her brother Colin Wolf actually admitted to murdering this innocent child simply because his sister did not deserve a baby. I think they should all be locked up. I really felt bad for the mother after reading all the horrible comments posted on her YouTube video but after reading all these articles trying to its just sick that anyone would stick up for a child murder especially someone who murdered their child and then to try and place the blame on other people. This whole family is mentally ill. Also I really want to know who were they visiting that was so damn important that it couldn’t wait until the next day or until a later day, I know I don’t go visiting “family” at 9pm at night their story doesn’t add up. You can look up the video on YouTube and read the comments this is horribly sad and that baby deserves justice!!! Every young mother needs to be taught a lesson to NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN WITH WHO EVER IS AROUND. AND THIS IS COMING FROM A YOUNG MOTHER!!!!
