From Harford Land Trust:
This Saturday, November 8th, is the Conowingo Eagles Day at Conowingo Fisherman’s Park, next to Conowingo Dam, and HLT will be in attendance with a booth. We are moving our Fall Foliage Hike to the Lower Susquehanna Heritage Greenway Trail, just south of the dam, to give people the opportunity to experience both events at once.
The Conowingo Eagles Day festivities are from 10:00AM to 1:00PM. Our Fall Foliage Hike will be guided by naturalist Glenn Dudderar and will leave from the trailhead at 10:45AM. This should be a great hike with the leaves in color and the sounds of the river lapping the shoreline, and will be less than one mile long. You can also hike at your own pace and return to the parking lot at the trailhead or come with friends and leave a vehicle on Stafford Road at Deer Creek for a 4 mile destination hike. 5 miles takes you to the Grist Mill at Susquehanna State Park, which has ample parking at the end of Rock Run Road.

In other news, on November 18th and 19th, the Harford Land Trust will be featured at Papa John’s as a part of the Papa John’s Dollars for Dough program. If you buy any pizza or sides from a participating restaurant on those days, and use the promotion code HLT25, 25% of the sales will be donated to the Harford Land Trust. The full list of stores is on our website; note that there are participating locations throughout Harford and Baltimore counties, so tell all of your friends, post it on Facebook and encourage them to e-mail and repost! Enjoy a pizza night and support the Harford Land Trust!
