From the Bel Air Police Department:
On October 15, 2014 at approximately 10:30 a.m., the Bel Air Police Department responded to Courtland Ave to investigate the report of an injured woman. Bel Air Police Officers immediately provided first aid and the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company ambulance transported the woman, a Bel Air resident, to Upper Chesapeake Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the woman’s death was a suicide and not the result of any criminal activity and is in no way connected to previous incidents at the parking garage. The woman’s name is not being released pending notification of out of state family
members.
The Bel Air Police Department is continuing the investigation. Anyone having additional information should contact the Bel Air Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 410-638-4500.
Editor’s Note: The incident is the second in five days at the parking garage. Two brothers, both Bel Air residents, were arrested early Saturday morning for raping a 29-year-old woman at the garage a short time earlier.

What is the distance between Parking garage and the BPD? A rape and a suicide within a week, lets open a dunkin-donuts in the garage, problem solved.

Cameras would probably prevent most crime, however, nothing will prevent a suicide except intervention. That normally doesn’t work either. Cameras are pretty cheap nowadays, but who would monitor them?
I beleive the garage in question has cameras that are monitored by the BAPD.
Hey Hedley, what an idiotic, insensitive comment. Do you have no compassion? Do you have a mother, sister, aunt, daughter, any girls who are friends, or God forbid a girlfriend? What if it was someone close to you who was raped or committed suicide from that parking garage? Your comment doesn’t even come close to being funny. It was a stupid, ignorant thing to say. You have a sick sense of humor. Shame on you!
