From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
Detectives need your help to identify and locate the people in these photos. They are wanted in connection with using stolen credit cards. The cards were stolen at Panera Breads locations around the county and used at several locations including CVS, ShopRite, and Wal-Mart. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect in this case is asked to call Detective Yeagy at (443) 409-3420

A lot of this could be stopped if stores would require you to show your ID every time you use a credit card. Oh wait, they can’t, they would be disenfranchising minorities to ask for proof of ID

You do know that Visa/MC/AMEX do NOT require, as part of the Member Agreement, that any additional ID be provided on a signed card. If you are asked for ID, it is against the membership TOS and could possibly be against state law!

They do require if it is not signed, but I never accept an unsigned card or ones with the highly illegal “Must See ID” in the signature block. Ask for ID at your own peril, give ID if you wish to be loaded up with junk mail.
