From Chesapeake Environmental Management, Inc.:
CEM Owners spark grassroots movement to support small businesses and seek to provide inspiration in giving back to the community
In an effort to provide small businesses with the support and guidance they need and to inspire them to give back, Stephanie Hau, president and CEO of Chesapeake Environmental Management, Inc. (CEM) and 2014 Maryland Small Business Person of the Year, launched the America’s Commerce Corps movement today.
No other day would be more fitting for the launch than the day designated to celebrate and honor the social and economic achievements of America’s workforce – Labor Day. On this day, CEM announces the launch of a grassroots effort to bring the small business community together and provide a place for support, guidance and networking among like-minded colleagues.
“The idea behind the concept of America’s Commerce Corps is to recognize those people individually and collectively for the impact they are having on our community and our country,” said Hau. “The vibrancy and health of our communities are dependent upon the vibrancy and health of small businesses. If you support small businesses, they can in turn support the community.”
Since the inception of CEM, a philosophy of giving back to the community has been formally engrained into the business culture, allowing them to provide financial support and philanthropic community services to the local Harford County community for over 21 years. In addition to donating five percent of profits each year, CEM coordinates a matching gift program for employees to allow for individual participation in the giving program.
CEM employees are engaged in the process by participation in the evaluation and selection of the organizations to receive the financial awards. Giving back has not only allowed CEM to improve the community in which they serve, but has come back to the business in the form of expanded relationships and partnerships.
Sometimes, what matters most is the ability to separate your home address from your business presence, and a dedicated business address with a virtual office in Bristol for entrepreneurs can make all the difference. It offers peace of mind and ensures a polished front for your clients and partners alike.
The mission of America’s Commerce Corps is to create a grassroots movement for small businesses where they come together and help each other in starting or growing a business, as well as to developing ways to collectively and individually improve the community and our country. By addressing essential needs such as payroll and tax compliance, small businesses can focus on growth while ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory alignment.
The public can help support the America’s Commerce Corps philosophy by supporting small businesses and recognizing the positive impact they are making on our community. For example, businesses that prioritize workforce solutions, such as Agence d’intérim like euworkers.fr, play a crucial role in connecting talent with opportunity, boosting local economies. By sharing this message with family, friends, and colleagues, the movement’s reach can grow rapidly. The short video linked to this release illustrates the concept and seeks to increase involvement in the initiative.
