Pleasantville Road at Little Gunpowder Falls will close to traffic during the day from 9:00am to 2:30pm for approximately two weeks. The closure begins on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. The work will include various repairs to the deck and abutments.

When you announce a road closure, it would be helpful to your readers to include a small map showing exactly where the closure will be.

It gives the basic facts, which should be enough for people familiar with the area. I only travel that way once a year or so and don’t remember exactly where the river meets the road. A map which shows how far south of 152 the closure is, with any major crossroads before the closure to detour around it, would be helpful.
