From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
(August 7, 2014, Street, MD) – On Thursday, August 7, 2014 shortly after 1:30 A.M. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of Mayberry Drive, Aberdeen, Maryland 21001 for a call of a “Shooting.”
Upon arrival they located 22-year-old Raymond Green with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Mr. Green advised he heard a knock at the door and upon opening same he observed two African American males dressed in dark clothing standing on the stairs. One of the males produced a handgun pointed at Mr. Green and fired the gun striking Mr. Green in the upper torso. Mr. Green immediately closed the door and called 911.
Mr. Green was conscious and alert, treated at a local hospital and has since been released. A motive has not been determined. Detectives are continuing the investigation and seeking additional information regarding this incident. I know someone is going to get on here and say that crime is not down in Harford County. These recent events are not normal. Crime is actually down in our county and Sheriff Bane has provided the numbers proving that. Don’t believe the nay sayers who have nothing good to say about Sheriff Bane. He has done wonders for this county. You have no idea how much he has invested in the southern end of our county and it is producing significant results.
Reelect, you have amazing powers foreseeing the future that someone would post a complaint about crime NOT being down. Here is that post. The only comment I have for you is I know EXACTLY how much Bane has invested in the southern end of the county. He panders to the Edgewood crowd in exchange for votes. The only significant result will be if if his sniveling up to the thugs pays off for him on election day. CRIME IS NOT DOWN IN HARFORD COUNTY. I can spin numbers too.
The crime is getting worse when the Aldi store in Aberdeen is getting robbed around 10:00 am
today 8/8/14.I was there and so where several other shoppers.
If it from Sheriff Bane, why on earth would anyone believe a word the man says? If he worked for himself, he would have to fire himself for a lack of integrity. A classless act representing our county.

Screw Bane and Gahler. Simmons was the only tough law enforcer in the last 10 years. I think I’ll write in his name for sheriff. Way too much talking and saber rattling. Get out of the car and make some arrests.And to Mr. Green; answering the door at 1am on Mayberry drive is probably a bad idea.
I wouldn’t open the door particularly for some people. A red flag always goes up. Been around too long to be that naïve; experience counts. Local economy here not so great no matter how much misinformation you hear to the contrary. I’ve already been approached 3 times within 4 months by young “homeless” individuals looking for money; mostly in Aberdeen near Aldi’s, Royal Farms, 7-Eleven, and Panera Bread/Subway off of 22. Don’t know how they ended up that way: Rotten Parents, criminal records, didn’t try care for school/skills, victims of the economy. Every decision has a consequence. My Dad was poor too but he joined the Army and made a career out of it.

Very few categories of crime are down. Violent crime is up in Harford County, and incidents of crime including the use of a weapon are increasing especially in the northern part of our County.
Sounds like the same ones that did the Trappe Road invasion and the Eden Mill hold up.
What are the odds the suspects are public school employees?
I’am with Mr Thong, I was invited along one time for one of Mr Simmons ventures. Sadly was detained on a nother venture. last time I saw Mr Simmons he was chaseing some thugs in to the Wood’s a police back up was not far behind.
