From Harford County Public Schools:
On Wednesday, August 13, the proposed schematic design for the new Havre de Grace Middle/High School will be presented to the public in the Havre de Grace High School auditorium from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All are invited to attend for a first look at the recommended schematic design, including the general layout of the building and overall site plan. This design will be presented to the Board of Education for its approval on August 18, during the regularly scheduled meeting.
After reading about a possible teacher shortage in Harford County for the coming school years, I have to wonder – as a taxpaying citizen and resident of Harford County – should we be moving forward with a new school when $72 million can be better spent to retain teachers?
Or, am I just making sense again?
These are Capital funds which are funded differently. The money comes from different places. It’s bonded money so it would never be available for teacher pay.
Wrong,
The school is in a place some folks don’t like with initiative from people they don’t like.
Capital funds still come from the taxpayers. It’s not free money from Obama.
