Wanda Garrison Named Harford County Employee of the Month for July 2014

From Harford County government:

Harford County Department of Public Works Water & Sewer employee Wanda Garrison has been named the Harford County Employee of the Month for July 2014. Garrison is a Meter Technician with Abingdon Maintenance.

Garrison is always the first person in the office every morning. She works very hard to make sure everyone in the departments schedules are well planned and efficiently organized. She is outstanding on the phone with customers. Garrison goes out of her way to ensure their needs and expectations are addressed. She truly keeps the department humming like a well-oiled machine.

Garrison is helpful in answering questions and explaining information. She is also helpful with repairs. She is always available by radio, email or telephone for quick and accurate assistance when workers are in the field. She also makes sure workers are prepared to do their jobs in the field.

“Wanda is always friendly and personable with everyone in the department. She has thrown parties where she invites her co-workers as well as former members of the department. She does an outstanding job on making sure everyone feels not only a part of the team, but a part of a larger family,” said Christopher Brandt, Water and Sewer, Abingdon Maintenance.

Brandt, who nominated Wanda Garrison for the award has worked with her for a year.
