Baltimore Man Charged in Armed Robberies of Two Aberdeen Convenience Stores

From the Aberdeen Police Department:

Investigators have charged Willie Lee Ganey Jr., 37 of Baltimore with armed robbery and related offenses in connection with two armed robberies that occurred in the City. The first robbery happened on 7-10-14 at the 7-11 Store in the 700 block of W. Bel Air Ave the second robbery occurred on 7-13-14 at the 7-11 Store in the 600 block of S. Philadelphia Blvd. Ganey is being held at the Harford County Detention Center on no bond. He has also been charged by other jurisdictions for similar offenses.

At about 8:05 PM on July 14, officers responded to the 7-11 Store in the 600 block of S. Philadelphia Blvd. for a reported armed robbery. Store clerks advised a black male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black pants, dark hat and gloves entered the store, displayed a handgun and announced a robbery. The male had what appeared to have a plastic bag covering his face during the robbery. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect may have entered a white Ford Taurus which was parked in the area and fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident. Investigators were working to determine if this robbery was related to a similar robbery that occurred at the 7-11 Store in the block 700 W. Bel Air Ave. on 7-10-14.
