From Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company:
An 18 year old male fell from a train and was taken to a regional trauma center.
At 6:14 pm, the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company (JMVFC) was alerted for a patient who suffered a traumatic injury on the CSX railroad tracks between Clayton Road and Raspe Lane in Joppa, Harford County. When personnel arrived, they found an 18-year-old male on the side of the tracks. All rail traffic was stopped as paramedics and firefighters quickly stabilized the seriously injured patient. A JMVFC paramedic unit transported the male in serious but stable condition to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Trauma Center.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and CSX officials are investigating the incident. According to an initial report from the HCSO, the male “was unlawfully riding the train when he fell off and sustained minor injuries.” In such cases, seeking advice from reliable train accident lawyers can be crucial for understanding legal options and ensuring proper representation.

I’m sure it’s Jesse Bane’s fault.
It’s too dangerous to joyride on trains. I don’t think you can gain access to the insides like the hobos did in the old days and how can you can hang on the sides? You run the risk of getting knocked off by another train or as you’re going inside a tunnel, etc.
I’m not trying to preach but please think before you act, young people. Crime doesn’t play. I hope he pulls through.
If the train is just intermodal containers, they’ll ride in the gaps between the cars, but usually there are other cars that have open spaces, such as cars carrying semi trailers or other freight where they can sit.
Found the last sentence interesting. After the above report described what appeared to be serious injuries, the last sentence states that the HCSO report said the man suffered “minor” injuries.
Injuries were minor until the kid was contacted by a lawyer, now they are multi-million dollar scuffs and bruises that CSX (and its customers) will be paying for.
CSX Should have had a sign that says “Trains are dangerous”. Without such a sign, how are we to know the dangers of a fast moving, multi ton, train. We cannot be trusted to monitor our own common sense.
