Havre de Grace Celebrates Independence Day on July 5 with Parade, Concert, Fireworks, Carnival

PARADE: Saturday July 5, 2014

CONCERT: Saturday July 5, 2014
7:OO PM in Yacht Basin at Tydings Park (foot of Union Ave.)
Featuring: Head Rush
DJ Jeff Thompson (master of ceremonies)

FIREWORKS: Saturday, July 5, 2014 at dark in Tydings Park ($24,000 show)

CARNIVAL: July 1-July 5 , 2014( Tues.-Sat.) in Tydings Park
Hours: Tues-Friday, 6PM-10:30PM; Sat. & Sun. 4PM-10:30PM

Individual ride tickets are available nightly.

Parade features approximately 18 musical units including: HdG High School; The Ravens’ Marching Band; John F. Nicoll Pipes and Drums; The Atlantic Watch Pipe Band; Harford Highlanders Pipe Band; Chesapeake Community Band; Westminster Community Band; Calvert Hall College HS Band; The American Originals; The Reilly Raiders; ; Archer- Epler Musketeers; The Fusion Corps; Shenandoah Sound; Carolina Gold; The Skyliners; The Sun Devils; Alliance; and Thunder Brigade D&B Corps.

The parade also includes majorette/dance units some numbering in excess of 100. We expect local dignitaries, fire companies, numerous floats, clowns, color guards, antique vehicles, youth groups, racing vehicles, custom cars, equestrian units, and various other types of entries.

Parking is on the streets of Havre de Grace. There is very limited handicapped parking in Tydings Park. There are no admission charges and all activities are handicapped accessible. For slip rentals in Tydings Park call the Dockmaster at 410 939-0015.
