Words from Councilwoman Lisanti about her Mother:
Mom’s career spanned thirty years as the Chief Supply Officer for Kirk Army Hospital at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Thereafter she was a stay-at home Mom dedicated to my father and raising me. She was an adventurer, having traveled to over 37 countries and all 50 U.S. States. My mother was life member of Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Havre de Grace and a past President of the American Legion Ladies Aux. Joseph L. Davis Post 47.
Mom was politically active throughout her life and taught me that true citizenship required action. She met four United States Presidents and was well known by many other State and National dignitaries. She enjoyed creating scrap books which were a collection of “interesting” news articles personally collected over the last 75 years.
Mom was cheerful, compassionate, and funny, with a dynamic personality and warm heart. “Her grace and determination to live was measurable. Her spirit is inspiring and her love everlasting, my heart is filled with gratitude for the life she shared with me and everyone she touched.”
Everyone is invited to help us celebrate the life of a most remarkable woman with our family at Zellman’s Funeral Home in Havre de Grace on Friday, June 20th between 1:00pm – 9:00pm. and during her Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Havre de Grace at 11:00am on Saturday, June 21st.
