From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On Monday, June 2, 2014 at approximately 7:58pm, Harford County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 3103 Mahonia Way, Edgewood, in regards to a 911 report of a shooting. Tanasha E. Siena, 35, called 911 telling police dispatchers she had shot her boyfriend, George S. Moore, 37, who lived at the same address, after being involved in a domestic altercation further reporting she had been assaulted by Moore.
Police arrived several minutes later and discovered Moore in a second floor bedroom. He had suffered gunshot wounds to the head and upper body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Siena told police she was injured in the assault. She was transported to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center by paramedics from the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company for evaluation of bruises and minor injuries. She was discharged several hours later.
Siena was interviewed by detectives and subsequently charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony. She is currently being held in the Harford County Detention Center without bond.
It appears that no time was wasted in charging her, what if the boyfriend came after her and she had no choice but to shoot him, she was injured in the assault. Why is it citizens get charged very quick but when a cop shoots someone (Snowball Gate) it takes forever? And Don’t hand me a bunch of left-handed BS.
Because he was shot in the head and upper body while she only sustained “minor” injuries, so minor that they released her from the hospital a few hours later. If you claim domestic violence to the point where you had to kill someone, your better have some substantial injuries yourself.
There is obviously a lot of circumstance, and evidence left out.
Your logic is twisted. In self defense, there is no “scale” of injuries one must endure in order to stop the threat on their life from a physical attack from an assailant (s).
Pam, what kind of injuries did the cop have at the snowball gate?

I think the cop who shot the 18 year old at the snowball stand when the kid didn’t even have a weapon should have been charged with murder and much more. Instead our wonderful county government and state’s attorney’s office didn’t do anything. I think that was sick. That boy didn’t deserve to be shot. Police officers carry billy clubs and maze, but the police officer chose to use a gun and kill the kid… sad sad. Why is this woman in jail without bail for defending herself when she was being beat up..?
Pamela is EXACTLY right. Think of it as an eye for an eye…If I punch you, you have no right to blow my head off. If that were the case, simple assaults turning into “self defense” murder claims would be rampant.

If someone starts an unprovoked, random physical assault on another person, the victim has every right to defend themselves from the threat on their life. The attackers intent is unknown.
Maryland is a “duty to retreat” outside the homs, but obviously, circumstances can vary.
So Zebra – if someone is charging across the room with a knife, baseball bat or hammer with the intent of demolishing you, and you have a handgun trained on them and let one, two or three rounds fly and the assailant never makes it to your person – are you defending yourself appropriately or should you wait for that knife, bat or hammer to hit you first?

She was assualted, then told the kids to leave the house for 30-45 min. The boyfriend went into the bedroom to lay down thats when she shot and killed him. He was no longer a threat to her at that point
