From the Aberdeen IronBirds:
Aberdeen, MD – The Aberdeen IronBirds announced today that the team will wear Orange jerseys for all Saturday home games, beginning in the 2014 season. The first opportunity to see the IronBirds wearing their Orange jerseys will be Saturday, June 21st, when the IronBirds take on the Brooklyn Cyclones in the second home game of the 2014 season.
“The Baltimore Orioles wear Orange jerseys for their Saturday home games,” said IronBirds’ General Manager Joe Harrington. “This is another way for us to connect with our Major League affiliate and Orioles’ fans alike.”
The IronBirds will be wearing new uniforms this season, an announcement that was made earlier in the off-season. The team colors will now be Orioles’ Black and Orange in every element.
“We will have all the new jerseys on display at IronFest,” Harrington explained.
IronFest will be held at Ripken Stadium this Saturday, May 17th, and is free and open to the public. Single game tickets for Saturday home games, and all other home games, will go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on the 17th.
