A car was severely damaged in a blaze which broke out Sunday morning in Forest Hill, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at 5 a.m. Sunday in the passenger compartment of a 2010 Hyundai Elantra located in the 200 block of East Jarrettsville Road in Forest Hill, according to a release from the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Six firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, along with deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, responded and brought the blaze under control in approximately five minutes. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $15,000.
The fire was determined to be incendiary in nature, but further details were not released. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the State Fire Marshal’s Northeast Regional Office at 410-836-4844.
