From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
[April 25, 2014, Edgewood, MD] — Harford County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested one woman and are continuing their investigation into several others as a result of a fight between several women three of whom were injured after being cut by a knife.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 500 block of Candlewood Drive in Edgewood shortly after 6 p.m. on April 24 for a report of a fight. Upon arriving deputies found that several women were involved in fight that had been the result of an ongoing dispute between them.
During the fight it was alleged Danielle Kirksey, 25, of 1607 Edgewood Road pulled a knife and began swinging it coming in contact with and injuring several people. Tyirra Smith, 24, of 500 block of Candlewood Drive, suffered a laceration to her forehead, was treated at the scene by paramedics from the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. Her injury was not considered to be life threatening.
Samirah Easter, 28, of the 900 block of Topview Drive, and April Anderson, 42, of Candlewood Drive, were each taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center with minor injuries.
Kirksey was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault and is currently being held in the Harford County Detention Center under a $250,000 bond. Two additional female suspects, who were tentatively identified as being involved, were taken to the Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct for questioning. They were later released and charges against them are pending further investigation.

What struck me about this story, in particular the picture, is that if you look at the young lady in the story above, and you look at this young lady’s picture, there is a striking difference. You can see it in her face. What I want to know is what happened to her? In my line of work I deal with people who have suffered serious traumas. How is it that one person grows up happy and successful and another, a complete thug? I am truly saddened by this and hope that she can get the help she needs to turn her life around.
Since I moved to Maryland I have met a lot of entitled hypocritical people who believe because of their church attendance and their voting practices, they are somehow superior to others. In their pursuit of materiel wealth and status and recognition in the community they often fail to pay attention to the children they raise in their own homes while complaining about others.
When you are that self absorbed… something suffers and it’s usually the kids.

Not only is your remark racist, but stupid. You were ignorantly referring to the skin-pigment, melanin, not the hormone, melatonin. Now that you have been educated, maybe it’s time you realized your limitations and stopped projecting them onto others.

Edgewood is just bad. Really bad. The majority of the section 8 residents that reside there do not respect themselves let alone the authorities that attempt provide services for them. Its a crying shame.

Got to go with statistics my friend. When you review the stat’s (readily on line and available to the public), “priors, background, up bringing, parenting, work history, associates/association(s), schooling (i.e. grades/attendance), etc. OWE’Bama and MOOCHelle have two lovely daughters courtesy of OTHERS and not “mom and dad.” They are to worried about themselves and “image.” Too many racists in Harford? You must be living in the “rich” neighborhood or off my HARD EARNED tax dollar also? And, can’t leave. OWE’Bama and OWE’Malley have me nearly broke. Working 60 hrs (+) a week just to smell bologna and drool at bread in the food stores. My family you ask? Well they are still with me …… for now …… and no priors nor record.
