[Aberdeen, MD] April 8, 2014 – The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region, a non-profit that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities build better lives, will host its second annual Harford Hills Bike Adventure on Saturday, April 26, 2014 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Registration is $45 per rider; participants can register at www.Active.com.
The ride will begin and end at the historic Steppingstone Farm Museum in Havre de Grace, Maryland and loop through the scenic vistas of Harford County and along the Susquehanna River. There will be six mile, 15 mile, 30 mile and 54 mile routes to accommodate riders of all levels. All rides culminate in a post-ride party, complete with complimentary food, drink, entertainment and an event shirt for registered riders. Riders and spectators alike, will be able to enjoy an afternoon of music from the band Electric Molly and visit the Steppingstone Museum at no cost. Additional food, drinks and beer will also be available for purchase.
“This event is a highlight of the year for Arc participants and the community at large. It’s such fun to ride through Harford County’s picturesque countryside and then join all of your friends for an afternoon of music and eating. What a wonderful way to raise awareness of the Arc’s mission within the local community!” says Julie Chmura, The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region development director.
