The Havre de Grace Farmers’ Market is sponsored by the Havre de Grace Main Street organization. For more information, visit www.mainstreethdg.org.
In a change from last year, Bel Air’s Marketplace on Main will now be held on the third Sunday of each month from 11am to 3pm, beginning on May 18 and ending on October 19. The location of the Marketplace has also changed, and it will now be held on Office Street in downtown Bel Air. It will feature local growers and producers, as well as local artisans, crafters, and entertainment. The Marketplace on Main is sponsored by the Bel Air Downtown Alliance. Visit www.downtownbelair.com/events for more information.
The Edgewood Farmers’ Market is still putting the finishing touches on its plans for the season. Customers are urged to check the Division of Ag’s ‘Buy Local’ facebook page at www.facebook.com/harfordfarms for updates.
“After the winter that we have just had, it is hard to believe that our county’s farmers’ markets will be opening soon,” remarked County Executive David R. Craig. “Our farmers’ markets give the public an opportunity to support local producers and to provide fresh and healthy food for their families. Harford’s farmers are extremely hard-working and take great pride in offering the finest quality goods. If you haven’t been to one of our farmers markets recently, I urge you to go to at least one this season.”
