From Harford County Government:
(Bel Air, MD) – Harford County Department of Parks and Recreation employees Joshua Lemly and Jeff Ramer have been named the Harford County Employees of the Month for February 2014. Both men work in the Grounds Maintenance Division.
The two men were recognized for their kindness and assistance in coming to the aid of Robert Zyriek, an injured citizen along the Ma and Pa Trail. Zyriek was jogging along the trail and took a fall, severely injuring his shoulder. Lemly and Ramer were working on the trail and saw the citizen in need of assistance.
They helped him back to his truck and let him borrow their cell phone to call his daughter. They refused to leave him until his daughter came to take him to the hospital.
“They were lifesavers to me that day. I have always been grateful to the people in Parks & Rec who work so hard so that we can all enjoy the Ma and Pa Trail. I just never imagined two of them coming to my aid as they did that day. I am very grateful for their help and they have my sincere gratitude,” said Robert Zyriek.
“I am very proud of these two employees for their quick thinking and taking control of a situation to help another person. The jogger has since had surgery, is recovering nicely and can’t wait to get back on the Ma and Pa Trail,” said Wesley Martin, Grounds Maintenance Supervisor.
Martin nominated the two men for the award, and Zyriek submitted a letter of appreciation.

This is a very nice article about two employees that make the citizens of this county very proud! Congratulations to both of them for being recognized. I taught a very fine young student named Josh Lemly at Dublin Elementary School years ago and I’m sure this must be the same person. We take pride in our students and the impact they have on our community. Carol Vail Physical Education Instructor Dublin Elementary School.
