I would like to thank my family, friends and all of my supporters for their hard work and the generous support they have given to my campaign for the Maryland State Senate. Circumstances, however, have changed for me since I decided to run for the senate this past August. After much prayer and consultation with family, friends and supporters, I have made the difficult decision to end my campaign for the Maryland State Senate.
I am grateful to so many of you for your relentless support and dedication. As someone who teaches Law and Political Science, including a State and Local Government course, at nearby University, it is refreshing to know that there are citizens who care enough about their community and State to get involved and support good candidates. I would also like to recognize Bob Cassilly for the hard work he has put into his campaign. Bob and I agreed from the very beginning that we would run our campaigns as gentlemen. He and I have lived up to that commitment. I will be supporting Bob, and I know, if elected, he will represent the citizens of Harford County well in the Maryland State Senate.
