In Honor of Presidents’ Day
Today, I would like to extend a very special Presidents Day message to you and your family.
Sometimes, and more often than not, we the people forget what this day is really about.
It is about more than a day off or a time to go shopping. It is about the many freedoms that we enjoy in this country and why they are worth fighting for.
From the birth of our country to today, our nation’s story remains unchanged. It is the ongoing fight to preserve our freedoms.
That fight started at Bunker Hill, preserved at Gettysburg and fought for again and again in two world wars, a cold war and in skirmishes throughout a fragile peacetime.
As we pause to remember the men and women who led our country through those many years of war, peace, and prosperity, let us also remember the immortal words of President Ronald Reagan who said so eloquently:
“Freedom is never more than a generation away from extinction. We did not pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States when men were free.” President Ronald Reagan
Today, more than ever, we must pass the torch of freedom to the next generation as it was passed on to us. That is our challenge and our sacred duty.

Use federal power to limit a state’s ‘rights’ when necessary and promote social equality and justice by passing regulations that protect the powerless. There was never a beginning to the beginning. Craig never had a chance since he is too extreme. He’s the Republicans version of Obama. His inner circle is telling him to stick with certain principles at the expense of a majority, therefore, his ideals are colliding with the network of harford county sheriffs, harford county employees, and teachers whom are struggling to keep their heads above water as he finds the money to purchase water front properties. Craig sits and listens to hours of public comments while ignoring those who claim to be republican because he doesn’t realize that family is more important than political affiliations. Maybe we should leave copies of our voter registration cards on the stage next time. I’m glad polling shows he is behind other candidates.

Waiting…and waiting for the days of Craig to be over with in this county. The way he was treated the public employees of Harford county is disgraceful and every other public employee in the state is paying close attention to the mess he created here. It’s really sad with colleges are telling teaching applicants to stay away from this county!!

Today, I would like to extend a generic Presidents Day message to you and your family.
Sometimes, actually more than sometimes, we the people of the United States forget what this day is really about.
It is about more than a day off for government employees, like myself, or a time to go shopping with the money you don’t have due to being overtaxed. It is about the dwindling freedoms that we enjoy in this country and why they are worth fighting for in oil-rich third-world countries.
From the birth of our country to today, our nation’s story remains unchanged. It is the ongoing fight to preserve our freedoms. Even today, we must embrace NSA wiretapping and TSA body scanners to protect our sweet sweet freedoms.
That fight started at Bunker Hill, preserved (or persevered?) at Gettysburg, and (was) fought for again and again in two world wars, some other wars I can’t remember, a cold war, and the Global War on Terror. Support our troops!
Let’s talk about the troops. As we pause this Memorial Day to remember the men and women who led our country through those many years of war, peace, and prosperity, let us also remember the immortal words of President Ronald Reagan who said so eloquently:

I’m confused by Craig’s actions. His press releases aren’t well received by the Dagger bloggers, yet he continually includes this site while addressing the public. I wonder if he reads the complaints?

he wasn’t a very good assistant school principal why would anyone think he’d be a good co ex or even worse a state gov? he’s all about what’s good for him and how he can do the least amount of real work to get there. go back to sleep davey .

@ Paul. Politicians are wordsmiths, twisting things so it looks as if they care about your challenges. I don’t know if he reads the Dagger or not. But he should because people (including myself, I guess) generally fear speaking freely and are more likely to tell the truth under secret circumstances. Some take their words to extremes and attack unnecessarily, but the majority are voicing their honest opinion. He should pay attention. If he isn’t able to hear the cries of his district, he isn’t likely to hear those of the state.

Now Mr. Craig is announcing his plan to phase out income taxes in Maryland. These are nothing more than empty words and political posturing as he very well knows that he could never get such legislation through the MD. Legislature.
