From Del. Kathy Szeliga:
Can’t Believe It’s Already February!
The weather seems to be dominating our lives these days. Are the roads passable? Will the kids have school? Will we get snow or ice? What if our power goes out? Or maybe you were one of the 172,000 people who lost power this week.
February is sure to bring more snow, and possibly more of that dreaded ice, to our area.
What if your power goes out?
BGE resources
BGE was very busy this week in the northern and western counties of Maryland. The hardest hit areas in BGE’s service area were Baltimore, Carroll and Harford Counties.
BGE has updated information and technology for customers over the last few years. Customers can go online and get restoration updates using a computer or cell phone. Also, you can report outages online too.
Of course, customers can also call BGE, 1-800-685-0123, to report any emergencies right away – like gas emergencies or downed lines.

I’m always here to help too!
If you are having trouble getting your power restored, or getting through to BGE, please do not hesitate to call me. I’ve been able to help many residents who have been unable to get through on their own or have become frustrated with service time. That doesn’t mean I can get you to the front of the line, but I am always able to lend a hand with information and to make sure you don’t fall through the cracks.

Any Excitement in Annapolis this week?
2nd Amendment Supporters Rally in Annapolis
This week, we were happy to welcome hundreds of 2nd Amendment supporters and advocates to Annapolis for a rally. The Maryland House Minority Caucus stands firmly behind the Constitutional rights of Marylanders and we were proud to be alongside so many patriots.
We have put together a short video with highlights from the rally. I’m sure you will enjoy watching it.
Thanks for your support and prayers! I’m working hard for you and your family in Annapolis.

W.T.F.? says
Blah, Blah, Blah. S.S.D.D.! “Working hard for me”?
How about getting along (but not necessarily going along) with the majority party in Annapolis and bringing some of our tax dollars back to Harford County for a change?
Now THAT would be worth mentioning!
Freestate? says
Thank you for supporting my second amendment rights. as all Maryland elected officials are sworn to do.
Keith Gabel says
Thank you for also defending my 3rd Amendment rights, despite the efforts of Hessians to repeal it.
Fed up says
Thank you for standing up for our Constitutional Rights. Like all of the Bill of Rights, We the People can choose to exercise them, or not. But that decision must be ours, not our government’s, and nobody should be looking to curb any of our rights – they are fundemental to American life and they are all connected. Ironically, those who fight to curb this right, are silent on crime and the justice system in this country. So thank you – all of our elected officials should be fighting to keep our rights intact.
Fed up says
Interesting…I realize that people have every right to their opinions how to get things done in this country. But at least 4 morons don’t believe in the rights that have been bestowed upon them through the Constitution. Maybe they should also forfeit their right to free speech? Do yourself a favor and go read the Constitution – and keep in mind all the fun and games going on around the world. Consider how that incredible document has provided the framework for this amazing country, and only in recent decades our brilliant elected public servants began picking and choosing which laws they thought made sense to them…and look where that has gotten us. So I reiterate – thank you Del Szeliga and the rest who actually work to preserve our Rights (not privileges). Fight the left wing control freaks who work to micro-manage our very existence through taxation, regulation and removal of our Contitutional Rights.
