(Forest Hill, MD) – The Harford County Department of Public Works has announced extended hours of operation for the two yard trim disposal facilities. The hours operation are being extended to help accommodate Harford County residents that may have fallen tree branches and similar debris from this week’s ice storm.
The Harford Waste Disposal Center Mulch and Compost Facility located at 3135 Scarboro Road in Street will be open Monday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. until further notice. On Saturday February 8, the Tollgate Road Yard Trim drop-off facility located at 608 Tollgate Road in Bel Air will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

“We are grateful to Director Tim Whittie of the Department of Public Works and his staff, for extending the hours of operation at their facilities to allow residents of our county the opportunity to properly dispose of tree debris resulting from this week’s storm”, said Harford County Emergency Manager Rick Ayers. “This is another example of government working together to meet the needs of the public following a severe weather event”, Ayers added.
They better leave them open for some time to come. Even though its not listed on the County’s road closure website(can you save coverup) Moores Rd in Upper Crossroads is still closed from dozens of trees in the roadway. Great work David can’t even run a website right. Wait a minute who else can’t run a website ? There’s a thought another incompetent moving up the political ladder, to paid it does not lead off a cliff.

WTF: There were not any trees down across the road…..BG&E was working to get power restored and clean up the debris. If you have a magic wand that you can wave to put everything back to normal, please do so. That way, the personnel that work for Harford County Highways, SHA and BG&E can return home, as they have been working extended hours for days getting the roads cleaned up and electric restored. Maybe you should move to Washington County or, maybe Garrett County, where residents in the outlying areas don’t see a snowplow or electrical for quite a few days. That would give you a real reason to bitch.
I think I might go work at the mulch yard for some easy overtime before I transfer to chief of staff, then I can fly to any dept to say hi to my friends not drive. Sheriff Bane said it’s a cool toy
