An Aberdeen masonry business sustained approximately $50,000 in damage following a Monday afternoon blaze, fire officials said.
The fire was reported at approximately 1 p.m. in a building at Hadry Masonry, located in the 700 block of West Bel Air Avenue in Aberdeen, by a passing patron of another business. According to a release from the Office of the State Fire Marshal, a total of 25 firefighters from the Aberdeen, Susquehanna, Abingdon, and Level fire companies responded and brought the blaze under control in approximately 20 minutes.
Damage to the building was estimated at $20,000 and damages to its contents were estimated at $30,000, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
