From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
[November 22, 2013, Bel Air, MD] — Anthony Edward Rosiak Jr, 23, of 2027 Mardic Drive in Forest Hill has been arrested and charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Bel Air convenience store.
On Wednesday November 20, 2013 at 12:04am, Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7-11 store at 5 Bynum Road in Bel Air for a report of an armed robbery in progress. Upon arrival, the 20 year old victim told police the suspect walked into the store implied he had a firearm and demanded cash. The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of currency.
The suspect then left the store getting into a dark colored 4-door sedan and leaving the area. Later that same morning, police responded to the 1900 block of Mardic Drive in Forest Hill for a report of a burglary at the Spenceola Community Center. Several hundred dollars in damage was done to the building.
Police recovered surveillance video from both locations and released the pictures to the media as well as posting wanted flyers and information on the agency’s Facebook and Sheriff’s Office webpage.
On Thursday evening, November 21st, and after seeing his picture on the news and on wanted flyers, Rosiak turned himself in to the Bel Air Police who then contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Rosiak was subsequently arrested and charged with the robbery of the 7-11. He was not charged with the burglary of the Community Center as detectives learned he was a resident of the Spenceola Community and therefore was allowed to be in the Community Center. He was charged, however, with malicious destruction of property to the Center. He is currently incarcerated in the Harford County Detention Center in lieu of $75,000 bond.
