From the Aberdeen Police Department:
(Aberdeen, Maryland, 11-4-13) At 1:07 a.m. this morning officers responded to the area of Pinehurst Street to investigate a report of gunshots.
Initially, officers were unable to locate anything. At about 1:30 a.m. a call was received from a home in the 600 block of Pinehurst advising of a shooting at that residence. Arriving officer found Jamar L. Holmes. 24, of the 500 block of Meadowood Drive, Edgewood suffering for a wound to his thumb. Holmes was treated at the scene by Aberdeen Fire Department paramedics and transported to Harford Memorial Hospital. Holmes was treated and released from the hospital.
An investigation revealed someone fired several rounds into the front of the house. One round grazed Holmes in the thumb as he sat in the front living room. There were several other people in the home at the time but no one else was injured. Investigators are still looking to identify a suspect(s) and motive.
