Ohh hell yeah, more restaurants, pharmacies, and large unoccupied office buildings (see; Aberdeen next to Target). Just what we need.
Creating more traffic clusters, where people awesomely run red signals. Typical Harford county drivers will be racing 20mph over the speed limit to get to the new hot spot, passing you on the shoulder or double yellow just to hurry up and wait at the next red traffic light or cluster of cars driving the speed limit ahead.
Morons says
All we need is more development in this area. RT152 sucks in the morning and afternoon drive
now. How about you widen MT Road first?
disagree says
Why do you want to spread the misery of more traffic to others by suggesting 152 be widened first or even at all? Your suggestion would only make matters worse for everyone because a widened 152 brings even more traffic to your community.
Kharn says
Development and increased traffic are a fact of life.
The only areas that have lost traffic over time are dead boom towns around coal mines and other fully-exploited resources, and I doubt the jobs in Baltimore will be drying up anytime soon so the county should plan on Fallston seeing increased development (and the resulting commuters) for years to come.
It is better to make infrastructure changes proactively rather than react after the problem is too large to live with, as we saw with the 24/924/Tollgate overpass.

LOL
That aberdeen/target area office complex has been finished for over a year, and still no one has moved in.
Who builds a big building like that with no one wanting to use it?
The Money Tree says
Beards Hill right next to the Target…weeds growing up now in the very, very always empty parking lot. Big “leasing now” sign out front in case you’re interested. Only serves now as a great big mirrored wall for the birds to smash into. So glad we got that done in time for the big BRAC effect (sarcasm).
Kharn says
Two restaurants and a small retail store are a different issue from a large office building that is poorly located (no Rt 22 access) and facing stiff competition (The Gate technology park).
HYDESMANN says
I wonder how much county and state money the developer is getting? If all of these developers had to pay out of their own pockets or actually apply for a full development loan I bet a lot less development would be taking place. Fallston needs more development like Rte 152 needs more cars.
Brian Makarios says
What about the the Kohls clothing store in Forest Hill?
LOL says
Fallston residents a.k.a. Edgewood North West will be dealing the same mass building of shit issues South Bel Air a.k.a Edgewood North deal with soon enough.
