Harford County Executive David R. Craig, James Richardson, Director of the Office of Economic Development and Harford County Government celebrated Business Appreciation Week, September 16-20, 2013.
Each day of the week, the county executive, county council members, municipality leaders and representatives of the Office of Economic Development toured businesses throughout the county to recognize them for their hard work and success.
County Executive Craig reached out to area businesses to say “Thank You” for their work.
“These visits were both informative and interesting. The visits provided insight as to the strength of our business community. I was able to learn about the challenges and opportunities that confront them,” said County Executive Craig.
On Monday, the county executive and the Office of Economic Development toured businesses in Bel Air and in the northern part of the county including: Little NY Deli, Chesapeake Environmental Management Inc. and Jarrettsville Creamery and Deli.
County Leaders attended a Business Roundtable at the Harford Business Innovation Center in Belcamp on Tuesday with a focus on manufacturing and distribution. The forum gave the business community the chance to discuss issues of concern to the county executive.
On Wednesday, the team visited Aberdeen with stops at Johnson’s Family Pharmacy, Mars Supermarket, Gino’s and Frito Lay.
On Thursday, the team visited businesses in Edgewood and Joppatowne including: Amrein Foods, Redner’s Warehouse Markets, Luna’s House, Smiths Detection and Gus’s Pizza and Grill.
