Why does it take the HCSO so long after an crime to get videos and photos out on dagger, Aegis, or facebook for identification? What is involved in making this happen.

Many times local businesses only have one person that knows how to operate their security system and in some cases the one person that did doesn’t work there anymore. There are hoops we have to jump through just to obtain the video from some places. Then because the business owners have cheaped out on buying security equipment, the picture/video actually looks worse than what you see here when we receive it (I know that’s hard to believe given how crappy they look when we put them out). In order to save the taxpayer’s money, this work is subcontracted out to a guy that give us these cleaned up still images from the horrible video we receive. Adding to this time period is enough investigation to make sure we are putting out the picture of the correct person, in many cases you are trying to time the entrance of a customer visible on camera through the entrance door and match it up with a subsequent stolen card transaction at a register.

Big dummy. A Scion and based on the t-shirt logo, a snowboarder. Can’t get over how many banks & stores that have been hit lately.
