From the Harford Land Trust:
[Bel Air, MD] July 18, 2013 – The Harford Land Trust (HLT), an organization that helps protect farms, forests and community parks in Harford County, will host its second annual Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction fundraiser on October 26, 2013, at the Bel Air Armory in Bel Air, Maryland.
The Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour, music and silent auction. The silent auction will close just before dinner at 7:30 p.m. which will be followed by a live auction. This year, the HLT has selected David Thompson, founder of Foxborough Nursery, Inc., to serve as honorary chair of the dinner and auction event.
“David Thompson personifies agricultural, business and preservation interests that have always come into play with the Harford Land Trust’s missions and goals,” says Ann Helton, chair for the event. “He understands how important these interests are to moving preservation of important lands forward and making the right decisions for the greater good of Harford County. He has spent his life working for these ideals.”
Donations of goods and services for the evening’s auctions are still being accepted. Items already secured for the silent and live auctions include four club-level Ravens tickets, vacation getaways, new kayak, cord of seasoned firewood, a processed spring lamb, artwork, sailing trip on the upper Chesapeake Bay, cosmetic eye treatment from Advanced Eye Care, jewelry and more.
Tickets to the Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction are $60 per person and include dinner, wine, beer and entertainment. All proceeds collected from the event will be used to further the mission of the HLT and aid in the perpetuity of an important ecosystem and one of Maryland’s diverse and productive landscapes for future generations to enjoy.
To purchase tickets to the Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction, please RSVP by October 10, at www.harfordlandtrust.org. To donate auction items or become an event sponsor, please send an email to auction@harfordlandtrust.org.

My family sold land to the HLT some years ago. It was a “win , win” for all involved. This is a group worth supporting.
