From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
On May 27, 2013 at 8:59 p.m. deputies were dispatched to 1720 Ironwood Drive Edgewood, Maryland 21040 for a report of an assault with a knife in progress.
Upon arrival deputies made contact with the victim Dirk Pernell Williams, 48, of the 800 block of Windstream Way in Edgewood, who had suffered a stab wound to his abdomen. Mr. Williams was conscious and alert but refused to cooperate with police.
Witnesses reported observing a man and woman shouting and arguing. They heard the male subject say he had been stabbed. Witnesses also observed a physical fight between the two. The female suspect then fled the scene. Since Williams was not cooperating deputies were only able to initially learn (at the time) Williams was arguing with an unknown female subject. Joppa Magnolia VFC responded and treated Williams and then transported him to Johns Hopkins-Bayview Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Later, during interviews with detectives, Williams identified the suspect as someone he knew. The suspect has not yet been located and the investigation continues.
