“Dresses into Dreams” Came True for Local High School Girls Thanks to the Aberdeen’s Lioness Lions Club Cinderella’s Closet Events

From the Aberdeen Lioness Lions Club:

For the third year in a row, The Fairy Godmothers from the Aberdeen Lioness Lions have helped over 300 girls find the perfect dress for their Prom or Homecoming. The Aberdeen Lioness Lions Club believes that “Every girl, no matter how economically challenged, deserves a chance to dance with her prince at Prom.” Many happy girls and moms left these events with beautiful dresses and continue to spread the word to others which has helped increase the attendance over the last two years.

The Fairy Godmothers loved seeing the faces of the girls trying on the dresses. It was like being part of the popular TV show saying “Yes to the Prom Dress”! The girls and moms really appreciated all the help that was offered from the club members and community volunteers that came out to help with the events. It was very rewarding for both the girls who found their perfect dress as well as the organizers and volunteers.

The Aberdeen Lioness Lions Clubs would like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to all the members and volunteers from the community that made this event a success as well as the following businesses for their donations of gowns, drop-off location assistance and advertising:
