From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
Earlier today [Tuesday] the Sheriff’s School Resource Officer assigned to Southampton Middle School took a report from 3 middle schools girls from the Rolling Green Community in Churchville who reported a subject was observed (believed to be) masturbating in his car. The incident is alleged to have occurred around 7am.
The girls, aged 12-14 told police they were either walking or at bus stops this morning when they observed a white male, in his 30’s, with brown hair, medium build, wearing a baseball cap and possibly glasses driving a dark green car or SUV with white license plates. The car had tan molding and sat low to the ground. The driver did not approach the girls but was seen driving thru the neighborhood. One of the girls described that he looked like he was lost. As he drove by one of the girls the passenger window was down and she could see inside of the car. The suspect is alleged to have been masturbating. When the subject saw the school bus approach he left the area. It was reported that he did not approach the girls.
The girls attend the Southampton Middle School and upon arriving at school informed school officials who in turn notified police. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy Fire Class Lori Denbow of the Sheriff’s Office School Policing Unit at 410-809-2818.

Early morning drivers should be observant of their neighborhoods and the vehicles in them. I hate to see young children unattended by adults waiting for the school bus. Things like this happen every week. Parents need to be vigilant and supervise their children. I’m not speaking directly about these children but the ones I see everyday in my neighborhood.
