(Bel Air, MD) – The Harford County Department of Public Works, Division of Water and Sewer has announced they will soon begin the biannual flushing of fire hydrants throughout Harford County.
Approximately 4,000 hydrants will be flushed by the Division of Water and Sewer. The project will commence on Monday, April 15, 2013 and should conclude by July of this year.
“There may be discoloration of water, changes in water pressure or loss of water during this time,” said Division of Water and Sewer Acting Chief Richard Rex. “We ask for the understanding of our customers and apologize for any inconveniences created by the flushing operation,” Rex added.
