Anthony Joseph Geer, 29, was arrested on February 21, 2013 in Dorchester County, Maryland, after having been charged with twenty-three counts of animal cruelty on January 25, 2013 by the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office.
It is alleged that Geer was operating and advertising as an animal rescue operation named Baltimore Animal Rescue Network (BARN). On January 24, 2013, Baltimore County Animal Control and the Baltimore County Police Department responded to 8637 Quentin Avenue in Parkville to find eighteen puppies and five dogs caged and in deplorable condition. Three of the puppies had to be immediately euthanized due to their condition.
Geer is currently being held at the Dorchester County Detention Center in lieu of $30,000 bail.

How did he get locked up in Dorchester County for a crime in Parkville? I’m glad he was locked up, but I hope the reporter will keep up with this story.
