From the Harford County Public Library:
The Iota Nu Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s 6th annual Harford County Public Library book dedication ceremony was held on February 2. Harford County Public Library received a donation of several copies of the book In The Spirit of Ronald E. McNair: Astronaut, An American Hero by Carl S. McNair. Held at the Abingdon Library, the book donation and dedication was in honor of Black History Month.
The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. is the first African American national fraternal organization founded at a Historically Black College and University. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s mission is to provide social action in the communities in which they live through dedication to their four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift.
“Omega’s responsibility is to uplift mankind through our service and deeds,” stated Dwayne Adams, Chapter Basileus. “Each year we look forward to providing Harford County Public Library with a selected book in February in honor of Black History Month.”
