The Republican Central Committee of Harford County announces its new officers.
At its November 21, 2012, meeting, the Republican Central Committee of Harford County elected Derek J. Howell as its chairman and Teresa Reilly as its vice-chairman. Gregory Johnson and Sharon Price were unanimously re-elected as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively. Prior to his election, Chairman Howell told the Committee that if elected he would “concentrate on uniting and growing our party.” In anticipation of being elected Chairman, Mr. Howell prepared a memorandum for all Republican Central Committee Members, which, in part, contained his vision for uniting and growing the Republican Party in Harford County.
In his memorandum, Chairman Howell presented his vision by utilizing the acronym “R U FIT,” which he created specifically to help unite and grow the Republican party in Harford County. “R U FIT” stands for: Recruiting; Uniting; Fundraising; Informing; and Training. Chairman Howell explains that we need to “RECRUIT” new Republican voters and Republican candidates for office; “UNITE” the Republican Party across Harford County; “FUNDRAISE” to ensure financial assistance is available for Republican candidates who run for office; “INFORM” Republicans and residents of Harford County about the important work elected Republican officials are doing in the County and in Annapolis; and offer various “TRAINING” sessions for Republicans, Republican candidates and citizens of Harford County.

I am so glad that the rcc kicked McGrady and Delong to the curb. This has been the absolute worst rcc in history, no organization, no fund raising etc….Not sure these two can turn it around but shedding the C4L wing nuts will help…
So how was Mr. McGrady ousted? Was it democratically, did he quit, or was he removed?
I would ask the same questions about Mr. Delong.

Read the headline…they lost their re-election to lead the RCC…nothing new for McGrady who has lost 3…
It’s remarkable how often County Executive Office employees complain on facebook about their boss’ political opponents.
The headline just said who was elected, nothing about any contested RCC office. I would like to know the vote count if McGrady and Delong actually sought reelection.
It remains to be seen whether these two will be the energetic force the establishment hacks and Craig sycophants on this thread are claiming they will be. Perhaps we ought to give it a little time. Given the new leadership’s respective track records, there’s plenty of room for doubt. One thing is for sure– Mr. Howell has switched teams. So much for liberty. “FORWARD!” we go…
