From the Aberdeen Police Department:
Aberdeen Police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred Monday night in the City. The first incident happened at about 7:00 pm in the first block of Swan Street. The victim saw several black males running towards him, one with a knife, the victim was thrown to the ground and robbed of currency and personal property, the suspects fled on foot. The victim was not injured.
Officers investigating the robbery have arrested and charged the Joshua K Telp, 18, of the 300 block of Custis Street in Aberdeen, and Kevin D. Watkins, 18, of the first block of Alton Street in Aberdeen. The two have been charged with Armed Robbery, Robbery, Assault first and second degree and Theft. Both are being held at the Harford County Detention Center.
The second incident occurred at about 9:00 pm at the Northside Liquors Store in the 200 block of North Philadelphia Blvd. An employee confronted a male to tell him the store was closed the male produced a handgun. Two other subjects entered the store and removed cash from the register. All suspects fled on foot. No one was injured in the incident.
Investigators are attempting to determine if the two robberies are related.
