Police on Wednesday identified the body discovered in a wooded area off Harford Town Drive in Abingdon as that of a 22-year-old local man missing since September.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office said the body of Laron Tavonte Bell, 22, of Trailwood Court in Abingdon, was discovered Tuesday afternoon near the home where he lived with his grandmother. Investigators said no signs of foul play were found at the scene.
Police said Bell was last seen leaving his girlfriend’s house in the 100 block of Bush Rd. in Abingdon on Sept. 9 at about 4:30 p.m. He was reported missing by his grandmother on Sept. 15, and detectives had been investigating Laron Bell’s disappearance.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner had not determined the cause and manner of Bell’s death as of Wednesday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Doug says
22 years old, and no foul play, hopefully something will explain why a man this young was found dead in Abingdon.
Dawn says
My sympathies to Larons family and friends. As for the the police starting no signs of foul play I find that hard to believe and think there is more to this. This young man was missing and suddenly his body appears in his neighborhood…details are being left out. I pray they find answers so his loved ones can grieve and whoever is responsible can be held accountable.
